Illustrious Class
The Illustrious Class was a class of early voidships operated by the United Kingdom and Britannic Trading Company. Two examples of the class were built in 1876 & 1877, the Illustrious and Commerce. A third ship, Britannic, was laid down in 1877 but was redesigned during construction in order to create the Britannic Class. The ships remained in active service for nearly two decades, only being retired in 1898 after the development of the Class II drive rendered them obsolete. Commerce would be scrapped later that year, however Illustrious herself survives to the modern day as a museum ship.
